About Our Pastor

History

Elder Timothy Henderson is a native of Chiefland, Florida. He was born to the Late Timothy Henderson, Jr. and Pastor Lena Henderson.

He is the second oldest of eight (seven boys and one girl). Minister Henderson was trained at an early age by his mother and grandmother that whatever you do, do it to the Glory of God. He moved to Gainesville, Florida after marrying his lovely wife of 18 years, Coretta Woulard Henderson. He is a devoted father of two daughters, Brittany and Tiana. He always had the desire of having a son & God blessed him with a Son in Love Rodrick Robinson, Jr. and grandson Jordan Timothy Robinson. After moving to Gainesville, he moved his church affiliation to Fairbanks Church of God by Faith where he  served under the leadership of Elder Jeremiah Lee and his wife Lady Bessie Lee. He served as a Church Administrator, Superintendent of Sunday School, Youth Minister and whatever else he finds his hands to do for the kingdom. Minister Henderson answered the call to Minister the Gospel in 2009 and was ordained as a Minister in 2014. He is currently enrolled in Church of God by Faith Theological Institute to obtain his Eldership in December 2019.

 

In 2015 he was appointed Gainesville District Sunday School Superintendent under the leadership of Superintendent Emeritus Elder Willie McKnight, Sr. Minster Henderson currently continues to serve asSunday School Superintendent under the leadership of Superintendent Elder Duane Gainey. In 2019, he was appointed as Pastor of Foundation Chapel COGBF in Alachua, Florida.The biblical meaning of Timothy is honoring God. Minister Henderson has dedicated his life to honoring God. He is faithful to the ministry and his leaders. His desire is to please God in all that he does.
